Is Your Favorite Club Reopening? Your Guide to the Best Downtown Music Scenes

Major venues have been announcing numerous concerts for the coming months, but there is nothing like hanging at your local music club or dive bar in downtown or midtown Manhattan. Arlene's Grocery and Rockwood Music Hall today announced their reopening schedules. We continue to wait for many other popular clubs, including Iridium, Otto's Shrunken Head, S.O.B.'s, Terra Blues and the Village Vanguard, to announce a return to live music.

The following 38 live music clubs have either opened or are scheduled to open in the coming months. The tightening or loosening of governmental restrictions closer to show date may impact the allowable capacity of a venue, which in turn may dictate whether or not the concert will happen. Many of the larger clubs are selling tickets to future concerts with the expectation of 100 percent capacity, which is not yet a reality. Click on the heading for each venue to link to the venue's website.
