| Chvrches at Governors Ball 2018; the band will headline at the Brooklyn Mirage this week |
August
will be rocking the mid-summer in New York City. Weather permitting,
many of the larger concerts will be happening outdoors. Several
outdoor concerts even offer free admission.
The
Manhattan Beat
regularly lists the best live music events coming to New York City.
The twice-weekly listings also celebrate via photographs some of the
musicians who have performed locally in the past few days.
Three
concerts this week were
downsized to smaller
venues. The Swedish House Mafia show scheduled for MetLife Stadium
will now happen across two nights at
Madison Square Garden, Three Days Grace was moved from Terminal 5 to
Webster Hall, and Zoe Wees was rescheduled from the Bowery Ballroom
to Mercury Lounge. In addition, Marian Hill canceled its concert at
Webster Hall.
Everynight
Charley recommends the following 50+
live music events in New York City this week. Contact the
venue or the artists' social media to confirm ticket availability,
weather cancellations, show times, and other updates. Note that
several artists and indoor venues continue to require proof of COVID
vaccinations and/or mandate the wearing of masks.
