Live music fans in New York City frequently empty their paychecks to see famous touring musicians headline the big arenas, theaters and ballrooms. Under the radar, however, hundreds of little-known local musicians are playing good music in dozens of small clubs every night. Many of these shows even have free admission. Here are some of the highlights of the past 10 days.
